Experience: I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s of Arts in Counseling and is a National Certified Counselor. I have over twenty-five years’ experience working with children, adolescents, teens and their families. I taught school over twelve years and later became a school guidance counselor.
Specialties: Clients who are experiencing depression, trauma, anxiety, anger management and the geriatric population. Family issues, estrangements, co-dependency, and attachment.
Approach to therapy: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps people change the thoughts that often create anxiety, depression, hopelessness, anger, and other dysfunctions. A change in our thinking can reset the wiring in the brain, increasing overall functioning. Other treatments include Emotional Freedom Techniques, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Progressive Relaxation Exercises, and Guided Imagery.
Personal interests: Reading, exercising, gardening, and being with my family and friends.
